Co-Director of the Essex Business & Human Rights Project, I teach, research, and advise on three main issues: (1) BHR in conflict-affected and post-conflict areas; (2) the relationship between investment law and BHR; and (3) the need to integrate BHR into a just and sustainable transition (and vice versa!). In addition to academic work, I have advised international organisations, states, civil society, businesses, and grassroots and community organisations on issues of BHR.
