Mashael Al Sulaiti is the Qatari founder and chairperson of Mashael Al Sulaiti Law Firm, a leading practice specializing in international arbitration, commercial law, and construction law. Since founding her firm in 2012, she has gained a reputation as a highly regarded arbitrator and legal counsel, representing clients in high-stakes, multi-million dollar disputes across Qatar and the broader MENA region.
Her work spans complex commercial, construction, and investment arbitrations, including notable cases such as representing an Italian joint venture in an ICC arbitration valued at 2 billion Qatari riyals, and acting as a party-appointed arbitrator in construction disputes exceeding 1 billion riyals.
Additionally, Mashael is a respected scholar with influential publications on Qatari law, and her contributions to legal literature reflect her deep understanding of both local and international legal frameworks.
Mashael holds an LLB and an LLM in International Commercial Law, both from the University of Swansea, United Kingdom, where she graduated with Merit. She is actively involved in key legal and professional organizations, including the Qatari Lawyers Association, CIArb, and the Legal 500, among others.
In addition to her legal practice, Mashael contributes to pro bono legal work as part of the legal clinic under the Qatar International Dispute Resolution Centre (QIDRC), offering support to individuals in need.
She is also committed to community service, serving in honorary roles such as a member of the Qatari Business Woman Association and strategic legal partner with Ehsan Elderly Foundation in Qatar. Her leadership both within the legal sector and in her philanthropic efforts underscores her dedication to advancing Qatar’s legal and business communities.
