About me
Germán Zarama is the OECD Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean on Responsible Business Conduct. He holds a law degree from Universidad Javeriana and a Master’s in International Relations from the University of Bologna, Italy. Germán has also completed a professional program in Public Management with the Inter-American Development Bank, along with additional studies in Political Innovation (ADS-University of Arizona) and Conflict-Sensitive Approaches (Do No Harm).
With over 15 years of experience, Germán has worked as an analyst and consultant in the design and implementation of public policies, programs, and projects focused on sustainable development and corporate responsibility. He has collaborated with various international organizations, including the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Institute for Human Rights and Business, Princeton University, the Global Land Alliance, the Danish Institute for Human Rights, and the Investor Alliance for Human Rights, among others.
Currently, Germán leads the OECD’s work across ten countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, promoting the implementation of the organization’s standards on responsible business conduct. His work focuses on advancing public policies and private sector initiatives with an emphasis on corporate sustainability due diligence.
