About me
I am an environmental lawyer and advocate with extensive experience in strategic litigation, environmental research, and direct collaboration with communities affected by extractive industries. My work focuses on defending the human right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment, particularly for indigenous communities impacted by environmental contamination. At CEDIB, I have delved into issues such as gold mining and mercury pollution in Bolivia, leading litigation efforts before international human rights bodies to amplify these critical concerns and push for tangible policy changes.
I am also an active member of regional initiatives, including the Collective on Chinese Financing and Investments, Human Rights, and Environment (CICDHA), where I contribute to research and advocacy addressing the environmental and social impacts of global investments. My dedication to environmental justice, combined with my academic training and hands-on experience, drives my commitment to creating sustainable and equitable solutions for vulnerable communities.
