Mr. Okereke ChInwike is an International Human Rights and Development Law Expert with over 10 years professional experience in business and human rights/corporate accountability, gender justice, women and child rights protection, security sector governance and reform, justice sector reform, drug policy reform, private security governance reform, land rights and natural resource governance. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of African Law Foundation (AFRILAW), Abuja-Nigeria, a Human Rights, Justice and Sustainable Development NGO. He is also the Principal Consultant of BHRAfrica Advisory Service, an international business and human rights consulting firm based in Abuja, and the Founder and National Coordinator of Men United for Gender Justice Initiative (MenUnited). He is the Focal Point of West Africa Drug Policy Network (WADPN) Nigeria Chapter. He was formerly the Global Coordinator of the Network on Business, Conflicts and Human Rights (BCHRNetwork) and former Head of Legal Department of Civil Resource Development and Documentation Center (CIRDDOC) Nigeria.
Mr. Chinwike holds Advanced Degree in Law from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), Enugu and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), University of Nigeria Enugu Campus (UNEC), Enugu. He also obtained Advanced Certificate on Business and Human Rights from the Center for Human Rights of the Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria, South Africa. He is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC-Nigeria)/International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI) UK.
He is a member of Steering Committee of Zero Tolerance Initiative (ZTI) and , Africa Private Security Governance Observatory, and a member of the Board of Directors of the International Code of Conduct Association (ICoCA) Switzerland, and other many local and international professional associations and networks. He is married with 3 children.
