About me
Alex Warofka is Product Policy Manager for Human Rights and Freedom of Expression at Facebook. Among other issues, Alex leads global work on human rights impact assessments, transparency reporting, government censorship, and internet disruptions. He also represents Facebook on the board of the Global Network Initiative, the multistakeholder human rights organization for the ICT sector.
Prior to joining Facebook, Alex was an economics researcher at the California Center for Population Research and a Fulbright Fellow studying human rights abuses in Japan's Technical Trainee and Internship Program. He holds a BA in Economics from Case Western Reserve University an MPP from University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy with a focus on quantitative methods and international development.
